Comprehensive Anti-Corrosion System Explained

PFS provides steps in safeguarding your valued equipment from corrosion threats

WHAT IS PFS’ ANTI-CORROSION SYSTEM?

Precision Fluid Systems (“PFS”) offers a comprehensive system for corrosion removal and corrosion prevention utilizing our proprietary products and application device based upon the information obtained by the initial testing and investigatory steps:

STEP 1: PHYSICAL INSPECTION – VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT

Corrosion affects metals that are exposed due to the lack of protective treatment methods. PFS identifies the extent of corrosion deterioration by a no-cost, no-obligation on-site inspection of the capital metal-based equipment and infrastructure.

STEP 2: TESTING DETERIORATION/CORROSION ON METAL SURFACES

Our skilled technicians perform conductivity tests and calculate the concentration of water-soluble salts on metallic surfaces. All tests are done in accordance with ISO 8502-6 (the “Bresle Method”) and ISO 8502-9 so your company is always in compliance.

STEP 3:APPLY “SALTBUSTER” CORROSION REMOVER

PFS SaltBuster removes soil, grease, oil, hydrocarbons, loose and peeling paint, corrosion, rust, other contaminants and salt build-up and salt film from any surface.

STEP 4: APPLY “SALT-X”

PFS Salt-X is a concentrated rinsing/flushing agent designed specifically to remove salt residue/crystals from any surface including cracks and crevices. It  prepares the surface for painting or coating.

STEP 5: PRIME AND PAINT/COAT THE SURFACE

Once the affected metallic surfaces are treated with Salt-X and SaltBuster they are ready to be primed and painted or coated.

STEP 6: APPLY “LIFELINE” CORROSION PREVENTION

Apply Lifeline which is PFS superior penetrating oil and lubricant which is a preventative that stops the corrosion process.

ONGOING MAINTENANCE

Salts, corrosion and other contaminants will continue to accumulate on the surface over the applied Lifeline.  Salt-X is used for ongoing, routine preventative maintenance to continually remove the accumulations to leave a protective coating to preserve and extend the surface life.

PFS’ APPLICATION DEVICE

PFS’ patent-pending auto mixing and application device is an efficient and rapid application tool for the best application of PFS’ corrosion removal and prevention products. The application tool injects a calibrated amount of the liquid product from any size container, up to 55-gallon drums, into a stream of water applied to the affected metal surface.

RANGE OF APPLICATIONS

The PFS system can be applied to most any metallic surface vulnerable to rusting, salt build-up and other types of corrosion. The application ranges from individual rivets to entire ships, aircraft and to miles of cables or pipelines.
